One Ok Rock dibentuk pada tahun 2005, beranggotakan 4 personil yaitu Taka, Toru, Ryota, dan Tomoya. Awalnya beranggotakan 5 orang dengan Alex sebagai gitaris tapi pada Mei 2009 dia keluar dari band. Band ini terbilang baru, apalagi usia para personelnya masih 20 tahunan.
